After a tree branch snaps and falls, it regains consciousness and begins to walk. It walks with all its might, but uses up all energy and willpower and eventually dies. While walking through the forest in summer, I found new buds sprouting from the stump of a fallen tree. I learned that in the natural world, the seedbed of a broken tree in a forest becomes a new seedbed for other trees of the same species, harboring new life and continuing the cycle.
